Volunteer Info:
We are seeking 3-4 alumni from various industries/fields to participate as a judge at the event, which showcases our graduate student work.
You do not need to have expertise in the student’s area, students are judged on their ability to communicate to a general audience, engagement, and content.
Preference for alumni with a graduate degree (in any field). The total time commitment will not exceed three hours, all of which will be virtual.
Event Info:
The Titan Grad Slam, is an event hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies, which challenges competitors to condense their theses, dissertations and projects into three-minute presentations. They are judged on their ability to make their work easily digestible to non-experts and engaging to an audience.
This rapid fire and accessible format has rapidly become extremely popular among universities and colleges and has the potential to be widely celebrated with your help.
