Celebrate First Generation Week!
Join us for a student-alumni mixer at the Golleher Alumni House on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for current first-generation students to connect with alumni, ask questions, and learn from those who have walked the path before them.
Volunteers are needed to engage with students at the event.
- Some of our students are new to networking, so we ask alumni help initiate conversation
- In an effort to help students effectively network, and encourage them to follow up with folks, we ask that our alumni provide prompt students to follow up with them (business cards, emails, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Students will have a BINGO card to help them initiate conversation and collect contact information for follow up.
- Volunteers do not have to be first-generation students; we welcome any alumni or business professionals willing to share advice and tips with students learning to navigate their college experience.
