Volunteer: 1st Generation Mixer & Tailgate

Celebrate First-Generation Week with a Tailgate and Mixer!

Join us on Monday, November 3, 2025, for a special First-Generation Tailgate and Mixer on Tuffy Lawn! This event is a fantastic opportunity for first-generation students to connect with professionals in a fun and relaxed setting while celebrating the kick-off of First-Generation Week and cheering on the Men’s Basketball team at their first home game of the season.

Networking isn’t just for business meetings—it happens in social settings too, like tailgates and sporting events! Volunteers are needed to engage with students, share advice, and help them practice networking in a real-world social environment.

You don’t need to identify as a first-generation graduate to participate—any alumni or business professionals willing to share their experiences and advice are welcome!

What We’re Asking Volunteers to Do:

Mix and mingle with students during the tailgate and help initiate conversations. Many of our students are new to networking, so your guidance can make a big difference!

Encourage students to follow up with you by sharing your contact information (business cards, emails, LinkedIn, etc.).

Students will have a BINGO card to help them ask questions and collect contact information for follow-up.

Event Details:

Date: Monday, November 3, 2025

Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM (You do not have to commit to the entire time)

Location: Tuffy Lawn (on the CSUF campus)

Parking: Parking will be covered for all alumni who register. Please include your license plate number and state on the plate when signing up.

Bonus: After the mixer, join us for the Men’s Basketball home opener! Tickets will be provided for all alumni who register.

This is a great way to give back to the Titan community while having fun and supporting our students. We hope to see you there!
