Volunteer: Help Read Scholarship Applications


About the program:

Every year the Alumni Association gives out ten (10) scholarships, for $2500 awards to students continuing their education at CSUF. These scholarships are made possible through the generous donations from our Titan community.

We're looking for dedicated alumni to review the applications this year. You can help us identify the potential in our large pool of Titans and support them on their educational journey.

 

If you respond to this opportunity: you are indicating that you are available to read 20-30 applications. 

If you would like to read less applications, please indicate so in the notes when signing up. 

 

Things to note:

Readers will have from Monday, March 16 till Monday, March 30 to read Scholarship applications Cumulatively, it will take about 6-10 hours to review 20-30 award nominations Each application is being reviewed by 3 Readers Training materials and information provided will include:  Volunteers will have to sign a Non-Disclosure/Data Protection Agreement Orientation with members of the selection committee Emailed instructions with information on how to review applications, use the rubric, and access information Resource list for reducing unconscious bias and implicit bias Conducting Equitable and Inclusive Searches training through CSUF’s Office of Human Resources and Inclusive Excellence (optional) is open for alumni to sign up for

Volunteer: Grad Fest Volunteers (March 16-18)

Welcome new Titans during Grad Fest 2026 and assist the Alumni Engagement team with promote CSUF Alumni Association Lifetime Membership. 

During your volunteer shift(s), you'll be welcoming graduating students into Titan shops for a one-stop-shop event for all graduating Titans! This event is an opportunity for grads to get all of their graduation items and connect with various departments/vendors.

The Alumni Engagement team and volunteers will be promoting and selling lifetime alumni membership ($70 grad fest special) and fulfilling those orders by passing out CSUF ALUMNI shirts/license plates & membership folders. 

This volunteer opportunity is great if you want to connect with current students, show your Titan  pride, and support your alma mater!

My name is Wendy Zambrano, and I serve as the Career Specialist for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Cal State Fullerton.
